Actions

A1 Collecting relevant information on resorces and agricultural activities. Identify key aspects for the optimal use of renewable energies and define applicable methods. Incorporate solutions to existing techno-economic problems: The lack of adaptation between production (solar and wind) and consumption; The loss of excess energy; The lack of alternatives to fuels in farming machinery. This action was completed on 02/28/2015, although the collection of questionnaires continued during the project.

B1 To develop software tools: A software program for general and business use to assess the viability of renewable generation; A software program for professional use in energy engineering and technical design applications. This action was extended and has been completed on 06/30/2017.

B2 For the field prototype, a work vehicle will be retrofitted to use hydrogen by incorporating a fuel cell. For hydrogen production a hydrolyser will be employed. This action was completed on 02/29/2016.

B3 Project, install and test the demonstration systems. In the field, a renewable hybrid energy system for pumping water for drip irrigation will be employed. In the winery, a renewable hybrid energy system with auto consumption will be used. This action was completed on 02/29/2016.

B4 The prototypes will be operated for an entire year. The prototype set up in a vineyard will be managed to maximize the use of renewable energy, also to generate hydrogen to be used at the farm. The prototype set up at the warehouse will be managed to maximize its use at the winery. This action was started on 03/01/2016 and was completed on 02/28/2017.

B5 Assess the results (software, prototypes and operation) in various fields of application and its susceptibility to different scenarios. This action was started on 02/01/2017 and was completed on 07/31/2017.

C1 Determine the impact of renewable energy usage by evaluating environmental and socioeconomic indicators. This action was completed on 07/31/2017.

C2 To assess on the economic impact of the project’s activities on people and local economy. This action was completed on 07/31/2017.

D1 Disseminate and communicate through traditional and digital media and event participation. This action takes place as planned.

D2 Organise three summer courses at the Universidad de Zaragoza. This action was completed on 07/31/2017, having held the courses of the years 2015, 2016 and 2017.

E1 Management of the project. This action was completed on 07/31/2017.

E2 Networking. This action was completed on 07/31/2017.

E3 Measurement and evaluation. This action was completed on 07/31/2017.

E4 Audit. This action is taking place at the conclusion of the project.

E5 Post-LIFE actions. This action begins at the conclusion of the project and will incorporate various activities.
